Advantages
What Silabaal® does for farmers
Little product, big effect: Silabaal® is applied in small amounts over the leaf and supports the growth, quality and resilience of the plant.
Low application rate
Only a few kilograms per hectare are needed, as field trials show. This lowers transport costs.
Higher yield
Higher yields were achieved in field trials.
Better quality
Field trials showed better crop quality.
More stress tolerance
In field trials, treated plants showed greater resistance to stress.
Stronger roots
In field trials, treated plants developed stronger roots.
Less water
In field trials, plants needed less water.
Largely independent of the soil
Silabaal® is absorbed through the leaf. This is why its effect hardly depends on soil conditions.
Natural and compatible
Silabaal® consists of natural mineral ingredients and can be combined with commercially available fertilizers and crop protection products.
Activated, very large surface
Air2Air activation produces extremely fine particles with a rugged, very large surface.
Particularly pure
Processed without abrasion from grinding tools – no foreign matter from production.
Safe to store and transport
Not flammable and not classified as a hazardous substance.
Low risk of over-fertilization
When applied as recommended, the risk of over-fertilization is very low.
What makes Silabaal® unique
More stress tolerance
In field trials, plants treated with Silabaal® showed greater resistance to stress such as drought or heat. This makes it possible to significantly reduce the use of crop protection products. Under favourable conditions, they can even be dispensed with entirely. The same applies to additional mineral fertilizers.
Silabaal® can be combined with common commercial fertilizers, not just foliar fertilizers.
Air2Air technology
Silabaal® contains natural zeolite of volcanic origin with a high clinoptilolite content. This mineral is naturally very porous.
The zeolite is processed by our partner STEINKRAFT in Austria. It uses Air2Air activation, a further development of the tribomechanical process that was developed together with the family of its inventor.
In conventional grinding, the rock is crushed between grinding tools. The particle surface remains rather smooth and uniform. In Air2Air activation, by contrast, the particles collide at high speed and break apart. This creates an extremely fine powder with a rugged surface that, seen from above, looks like a mountain range with sharp peaks and deep valleys. Relative to its size, each particle therefore has a very large surface, which promotes higher activity.
Another advantage: in conventional grinding, the tools wear down, and this abrasion can get into the product in small amounts. Air2Air activation works without this abrasion. This keeps Silabaal® particularly pure.
Via the leaf: low risk of over-fertilization
Silabaal® is applied to the leaves. Whatever the plant cannot absorb there falls to the ground. The natural mineral ingredients can then be taken up through the roots and often even help improve the soil.
When Silabaal® is applied as recommended, experience so far shows that the risk of over-fertilization or groundwater contamination is very low.
Help for salinized soils
Silabaal® can help slow down soil salinization and support the reclamation of salinized soils.

Field trial in Venezuela: the results
Independent study by the Universidad de Los Andes (INDEFOR), Mérida 2026 – from our animation “How Silabaal® works”.

10 / 16
Field trial in Venezuela
The Universidad de Los Andes (INDEFOR institute) tested Silabaal® for 12 weeks at Finca Santa Ana in the Andes of Mérida: on two coffee varieties, on coffee seedlings in the nursery and on passion fruit. In each case, treated plants were compared with untreated control plants.

11 / 16
Coffee: faster height growth
Coffee plants treated with Silabaal® grew taller than the control over 12 weeks: Monte Claro by 18.6% instead of 13.5%, Araguaney by 14.7% instead of 10.8%. Ten plants were measured in each group.

12 / 16
Coffee: more vigorous and healthier
The treated plants grew more evenly and vigorously and had glossier leaves. During the severe drought at the end of the trial they lost fewer leaves than the control. Plants in full sun showed some leaf-edge sunscald in both groups.

13 / 16
Nursery: twice the height gain
Coffee seedlings with Silabaal® gained 10.8 cm in height over 12 weeks, the control only 5.3 cm. The root collar thickened by 0.16 cm instead of 0.02 cm, and there were no losses among the treated seedlings.

14 / 16
Nursery: visibly stronger seedlings
After three months the difference is visible to the naked eye: the seedlings with Silabaal® are denser with glossier leaves. The left image (control) shows seedling losses, while there were no losses among the seedlings treated with Silabaal®. Main and lateral roots were also clearly better developed, a good basis for transplanting to the field.

15 / 16
Passion fruit: earlier flowering
Six weeks into the trial the treated passion fruit plants were already in full bloom, while the control row only showed buds. From week six, plants with Silabaal® set fruit evenly.

16 / 16
Passion fruit: more and larger fruit
By the end of the trial the treated plants carried 3–4 fruits, while the control row had only just begun to set fruit (0–1 per plant). Fruits with Silabaal® weighed 277 g on average, those of the control 55 g.
Where Silabaal® makes the biggest difference
On poor soils, under water shortage, in arid regions, on nitrogen-poor soils and in problem zones – wherever plants are under stress.
